Katherine is a super intelligent, yet ultra goofy friend of mine with so much potential and the whole world right in front of her. She is graduating this semester from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette as the Outstanding Graduate for the Department of Political Science and plans to attend Southern University Law Center in the fall. Doing this shoot was special for me because Katherine and I have been friends for a few years now. Her passion and drive to make Louisiana a better place for its citizens is absolutely inspiring.
When doing this shoot, I did my best to help capture the beauty of the campus we have both come to love as well as let her beautiful personality shine through. I think our favorite location had to be Moncus Park. We happened to get there just as the sun was setting and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. Katherine loves nothing more than to get in her hammock and read a good book at the park, so we both agreed it was an important place for us to visit. This definitely was one of my favorite shoots to do this year. Good luck to Katherine in all her future endeavors! Keep me in mind for your Governor's Portrait ;)
